I have a 71 Duster with a 360 and full exhaust that has an X pipe. I am going to remove the pipes and run right out of the Hookers. My question is, will I have to change anything else? Jets, timing, ect?

Have you made passes with the closed exhaust? run it with open headers, compare the MPH, jet up 2 sizes see if the mph goes up if it does you are in the right direction. Some cars make no difference depending on what the exhaust is? I am running a 3" TTI X pipe deal with hooker Aero chamber muffs and dumps, i doubt i would see much difference other than weight loss, I bet that exhaust system is close to 65-70 lbs

hey, i was always told as a "kid" every hundred pounds off the car was good for a 10th

I have ran it through the mufflers. It ran 8.teens in the 1/8 at about 5000 ft above sea level. Never ran the 1/4 with it. I didn’t know if it might run lean getting more air.

I would also put extensions on the headers !! Spray paint the extensions. Where the paint stops burning off the extensions cut the extensions off at that point !
