High CFM heads - What would you chose?

What about Trick Flow 190 heads?
IMO, that is the best high performance street head going that the average guy can take OOTB, look over and just simply make power. This is what I would recommend for 90%+ to the world seeking a really nice to a hell of a hot rod on the street.
Maybe with the spark plug out. Lol. That .300 lift number is terrible.
Have you ever ported a set of W5’s?
I still have a bare set. :poke:
This set gave up the ghost in a single port, so porting was stopped there. I’m not seeing these on the net with flow numbers. I’ve read some high peak numbers in the 330 to 345 area. This is what I was sort to of hoping for to top a 434 w/a sizable cam. 9’s in the 1/4 was the goal to start with. I think these heads are capable as they are. However, not the point here.

@mini and the rest of FABO;

Stating your goal in a track time or specific power level with the CID of what ever engine and what ever car w/it’s weight & trans your going to run is really the first part of the math equation.

The use of MoPar’s W series head is a good route though the upper units (7&8’s- IDK about the 9’s) are not only expensive for an average guy but can require some odd ball parts. Like mentioned above, if you don’t have a good non stock block, I’d say don’t bother.

If we go the route with the layman’s math on head flow cfm to get to a theoretical power level, cfm X’s 2, that 300 cfm head is 600 hp capable and then some. This is a trick flow head and it does have gigantic ports.

I’ll state for the record that IMO the best thing you can do is get the best cylinder heads possible for your build but IMO, there is a limit. An example would be a gigantic port on a 318.

So, what are you looking to do?
When you ask the question, have a goal in mind and details of what you have or want to get.there are a lot of capable people here.
