I bought a 2016 6.4 Hemi to swap into my 68 Notchback a few months ago. Since corona happened my project is on hold for the time being. Any advice on proper storage? Turn it over from time to time? Put a little oil in the cylinders? Its presently just sitting on a pallet, unable to be ran. Thanks in advance.

Obviously close up any holes, you could rotate the crank a little once in awhile to keep the bearings from developing a flat spot but to be honest I have had engines that have sat for years and then fired them up and they worked well. I have a 426 sitting on an engine stand and I move the crank a little about every 6 months.

Gotcha. I filled it back up with oil since they drained all the fluids out and taped up all the openings when I got it home. Ive never stored a engine for more than a month or so. Thanks for the reply.

I have had my 6.1 stored for a few years. I pulled the fuel rails and cleaned them out with carb cleaner and reinstalled. Over filled the oil by a few quarts and added some oil down the cylinders to keep the top side fresh.

Probably the absolutely safest best way to store it is in MY garage.........
