Any Honda Tech's here?

Got an 02 CRV, brake lines from ABS to junction block on drivers side under air box corroded and leaking. How would you do it? I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks!

I build new lines. You can buy ready made lines in various lengths, and bend to fit.
In your case i would cut line off close to the fitting, use a socket to remove line and go to local parts store and get a line close to the length you need. Bend and re-install. Bleed brakes.
But, most manufacturers bastardize the end at the abs unit or master cylinder. Asian vehicles dont use inverted flare, it requires a different flaring tool.

way cheaper to take it to a shop. Just not a dealer.
I reuse the odd size nuts and flare with my hydraulic flaring tool. Expensive.

Build new lines with copper/nickel lines. Being under the air box, they don't need to look pretty.

Thought about cutting and splicing, but being under the air box you just about have to stand on your head to get there, then get tools in to work, the best place to splice is behind the rack; only place near straight enough to get flair tool on the line to do splice otherwise it's got more bends than the Susquehanna river ( it's a NY joke ).
Thanks for the ideas

It's an 02. It's 18 years old. What brake parts are gonna fail next? Brake lines usually rust from the inside out. What if the ABS motor piles up next? I'm surprised it didn't go first. Have you priced out an ABS motor recently? IDK what I would do next.

So what you are saying is I should junk the car; that otherwise runs and drives well. The line that failed, corroded right behind the nut.

The Cuda in your avitar is over 50 years old; what's gonna break next?
