Measuring for a new driveshaft

so when I google 69 dart 727 8 3/4 I get 47.81" for length but if I bottom out yoke I have to pull it out an inch and a half to reach that length... and are all slip yokes the same length because I getting a new one of those too. I also got the measurement from output shaft to center of rear u joint to. All they asked for was center u joint to center u joint measurement
 
Did you take the measurement with the rear axle at ride height or hanging? There was a chart posted here some time ago with all the driveshaft lengths for all of the A body OEM configurations.
 
Yes sitting on the ground, and its prob the same chart when you google it

But would that distance change with a different slip yoke or are the all the same length since a new one is coming with it
 
Where are you getting the new driveshaft?
 
Thats kind of what I was thinking, I have a place called tattons from Utah building it. I figured I would give them the length from output shaft to center of rear ujoint so if the was a difference in length they could figure it out
