Carb spacer

I just put a phenolic 1/2" spacer on my buddy's 67 dart 383 and I was surprised that the carb was cold after a good drive and it ran a lot better, even after setting for 1/2 hour the carb was still cool and it started right up. The only reason we went with 1/2" was for hood clearance.
