Ready to start the 360 how do I fill the edelbrock for starting? It's a 600 cfm
Didn't want to crank on new motor till pump fills it

That is a very good question. Edelbrock carbs don't have bowl vent tubes like other brands do.

Funnel and hose held high and let gravity fill the bowl? Or maybe a squeeze bottle of some type?

Use starting fluid. It will get the motor spinning fast enough for a sec or two to get the mechanical pump working. Should only take a couple of times to get fuel into the carb.

I’m not knowledgeable on the edelbrocks, but I’m thinking a short piece of hose to the normal fuel inlet and either a syringe or funnel and add some fuel to it. Moms Duster beat me to it.

That worked used a pint bottle and squeezed fuel into carb inlet
Thanks it's running darn tstat housing leakin will go back out after it cools down

Remove the air cleaner. Remove the gas cap. Take an air blower on the end of an air hose and stick it in the fuel filler neck with a shop rag sealing it. GENTLY pressurize the fuel tank with a SMALL amount of pressure. Let it sit there a minute. Rinse and repeat until you have gas squirting from the pump shooter when you apply the throttle.

IIRC the vents on an AFB are outboard voids of the vacuum pistons or the diagonal tubes of older models. Use an old Diner ketchup/catsup squirt bottle and squirt fuel in there.
