I recently purchased a 1976 scamp hard top needs some work but decent.car . I believe it has original 318 engine . t.he transmission leaks fluid bad . Hopefully I'll go pick it up next Sunday .and Tow it home..just wondering if there any members from Florida. And where are you finding interior parts for your cars I need a back seat my missing . .thank you
 
Welcome...was in the same boat a year ago! Seller told me up front had a slight trans leak, probably pan. Not the sellers fault but I learned (from this site and from messing around) that the "pan leak" was actually shift shaft. Check it and your filler tube. Use cardboard my friend.
 
yep- super common O ring at dipstick tube.

Don Garlits show/swap in November and Melbourne in Jan/Feb.

VERY likely to find a seat.

I have a nice black Duster top section.
Not sure if it's the same.
 
Welcome to FABO from up North Georgia way!!

Another area to check for a transmission leak is the front pump seal and rear extension housing seal. Together with the suggestions above I think we about covered all the areas they can leak.

A&A Transmission out of Indy is good. They have most everything you need and they know their way around a transmission.

Thanks for all the welcome's from all of you .I will post some pictures when I get home , as far as the leaking transmission I though the same probably dried seals.thanks
