Engine Run Stand, prepped and painted, finished in Satin Black.

Hook up exhaust system, fuel source, and ignition wire.

318, with flat top pistons, roller camshaft and lifters, 302 closed chamber heads.

Test fired the '91 318 Roller Engine today. Ran it for a good 45 minutes, get things warmed up and broke in again from the rebuild.

Engine has a deeper tone to it now that it has the 4 bbl conversion on it giving it the fuel that it needs.

Engine Run Stand is working out real good. So nice tuning in the engines when they are not in the cars. Plenty of room to check everything over and get things right.

Clean burning out the tailpipe too, not too rich on the fuel mixture.

Now you need to address Ford and the "other" GM engines. The other Gm engines are easy from here.....they all use the same mounts and bellhousing patterns. Chevy was the odd man out with that and I never understood why they did that. Had they cast the rest of the GM family with the chevy mounts and bellhousing pattern, they would have all been the same. But Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac were all the same and then Chevy. LOL Course the way you are whippin this up, you could just make it when you needed it. Must be nice to have all this talent. lol

Oh, that is good information. I did not know that about GM all being the same mounts and bell housings but not Chev.

There was some talk here about setting up for the Ford Small Blocks. Looks like I will have to be on the hunt for Ford and GM bell housings and matching flywheels.

Would like to set up for Big Block Mopar too. As far as I know the small block and big block flywheels all have the same crank bolt patterns. Just need to come up with a 4 speed bell housing for the big blocks, I bet they are spendy.

Bet I could make up a Big Block engine run stand Bell mount if I think about it long enough.

Not like it is going to have to bolt up to a car driveline . . .
 
Setting up the Electronic Ignition Run Panel.

For mopar engines with factory electronic distributors.

All it needs is one switched hot wire and bolt the run panel plate to ground.

Plug the coil wire into the distributor cap, and plug in the electronic distributor to the run panel wire harness.

Was just thinking now that I have the folding framework dimensions figured out, would probably be pretty easy to copy it.

Those 2 engine bell housing to engine stand Plate Adapters for Mopar and chev would be easy to copy too.

Could maybe draw up some plans to share with others, with dimensions and individual parts sizes and drillings.

People could probably make up their own front engine support mounts.

You never know . . .

Sure would be handy for a guy like you doing all those engines.
