Way too nice to be crushed! Save this Duster (Washington state)

And I'm normally 100% on board with respect to our "lovely lady member". But Rob, she literally said "trying to make it into a modern abortion with wheels like that". A MODERN ABORTION. Sorry bud, but that's an ignorant comment no matter who made it. And like I said, it doesn't suit her very well or match up with her usual conduct. So yeah, I called it out and no, I don't feel bad about it and ignoring me doesn't change that at all.

Doesn't square up with your comments though does it? If everyone that runs larger wheels has "ruined their car beyond salvageable" then why are you asking for my advice? If you respect my understanding then why wouldn't you assume I know enough not to "ruin" my car?

I could just as easily say that anyone that can't figure out how to buy wheels that actually fit inside the wheel wells of their cars has probably ruined their car beyond salvageable, because what could they possibly know? And you'd probably take offense to that right? Because it's not accurate. Just like your comments weren't.

Like I said, I normally respect your opinion and really value your presence here. But if you're going to start calling cars "modern abortions" just because you have a different opinion on the style of wheels they run then that's going to change. This isn't even a wheel thread, it's a thread trying to draw attention to another A-body that someone could put back on the road. And you're bashing it?

Some of the highest quality builds on this site are "modern abortions" by that standard. There are far higher quality modified cars on here than OE restorations. I mean come, on 76orangewagon's Duster? Best build on this entire site, hands down the highest quality of ALL of them, style aside. Don't think I'd worry about the wiring on this one...

And I don't care. Say ignorant stuff and I will call you out. Piss me off? Whatever. I find it far more irritating that all the members on this site making ignorant comments like yours are discouraging other people from taking up the hobby. If the only people that get into these cars are the ones that enjoy (and can afford!) OE restorations then really soon the only place you'll find these car is in museums, not out on the roads. If you go after someone because they ran a set of 17" rims so they can buy decent, SAFE tires for a daily driver then that's what happens.

Ok, so I can agree that "modem abortion" is too harsh. I take it back, see the original post is edited.
