My 66 Valiant wagon......

and i've been toying with this idea alot, finally going ahead with it!

I've always loved the 66 Valiants, had a Signet in high school.....one thing i hate on the 66 wagon is the rear 65 bumper.

So I have decided to convert the rear of the wagon to a 66! It's going to be some work and fabrication, but i feel confident that I can achieve the look I'm going for!

First off, purchased a rear 66 fiberglass bumper from Glasstek. This will give me an idea of what I have to do as far as fitting the bumper to the body and the rear quarters to the bumper.

One thing I have noticed, is that the rear of the wagon is a few inches wider than the standard 66.
You can really see it around the taillight housings on the side......

I personally think that this will be fine, it will look like I have the rear bumper tucked in on the sides once done.

I will be keeping the high arched rear wheelwell openings, just changing the lower rear quarters and trunk dropdowns

So ill be evaluating all this as I move forward with the rest of the sheetmetal, so stay tuned!
