Best manual transmission for 900 hp

-
Mike has a Liberty clutchless in his Small block Camaro. RIP Mike. We lost him to a stroke last year. His son Chris is still racing his own Camaro though. Mike is running a little 1/8th mile here. That's a 6.41 I believe. (9.90's in the 1/4)

Probably the best and most cost effective transmission is a Turbo 400 with a manual valve body. You can build one probably for less than half the cost of anything being talked about here. CHEAP and STRONG.[/QUOTE
900 hp...
Manual trans...
Drag racing...
Is a ridiculous conversation to have with a thrifty budget...
I already have the motor/car/axle/wheels/k frame/headers/etc So what's so thrifty about all this. I just wanted something that will work at a reasonable cost. Meaning not 20k but 4-7k total. Anyway what's wrong with a turbo 400? With the right parts it should work fine. I just wanted a stick if possible.

Very nice. even for a Chevy lol.

If you write your answer or what you have to say outside the quote it will be easier to read...

This is a good time to learn how to rebuild automatic transmissions if you even want a transmission...

Yes I have a 400 core but I'd probably have to get a case and bell being for a mopar. And I can rebuild transmissions. So this may be the way to go for now.

Then you can do it a lot cheaper.
