Covid 19 / Coronavirus

The "experts" figure out how much of the bug goes across the Mex. U.S. border back and forth.

Yes lots of the bug of lately was scattered by the idiot protests. Go figure.

good here. considered essential so i've never stopped working, jamie is still working from home and poor rylee is probably the one hit most havingto finish 5th grade learning at home and not seeing her friends..

no one is sick though. personally i think that **** blew through work early in the year.. something kicked all of our ***.

we just got back from a red river gorge kentucky and pigeon foge/gatlinburg vacation. tomorrow is two weeks from geting home so i guess we are clear. man in pigeon forge and gatlinburg you would never know there is a virus floating around.. hardly anyone had masks and no one observed social distance. dollywood did a nice job with how they opened up though..

Never been to Dollywood but want to go. How were the Log rides?

People are starting to become re-infected.
That could mean herd immunity is a pipe dream.
Also means that vaccines would be inaffective after a short period, if at all.
I'm in Miami. One look around me is all I need to know about how this infection spreads.

We are doing better now in CT. Out of 100 people that get tested, less than 1 % are positive. So, in theory, I'd have to walk by 100 tested people to meet someone who has it. I feel a little more comfortable when going out in public now. We are required to wear masks indoors, be 6 feet apart, bars are closed, outside restaurants only, Plexiglass shields at checkout counters, etc. A small price to pay for my health and others' health.

The south is really bad off now. Houston Texas has a positivity rate of 25%, meaning if everyone got tested, then every 4th person you walked by would have it. But not everyone gets tested. And because you test positive, It doesn't mean you are contagious at that moment. And because test results are backed up 7 to 10 days, you could be spreading it during that time. Some of the labs are running out the reagents necessary to do the tests. ICU beds are near or 100% in use.
After 6 months, there is still a lot we don't know about this virus. I haven't heard of any federal plan to slow this thing down. Just crunching numbers, it seems that there will be a lot more people dying a month from now. If and when a vaccine is produced, I'll wait a while to see how effective it is, and the side effects [if any].

I don't know if this will help but they're still researching AIDs/HIV.

But here's what we do know; it's no longer at pandemic levels. That's good news.

So what your saying is we're all going to eventually die from this crap because it'll never go away?
The older i get the threat level is much higher....great.

Just how I feel. The longer I put it off the older I get. And I'm already old. I'm not known for saying good things about this situation, but I don't think we will all die from it. Not immediately anyway.
Here's another tidbit for the guys. It's been reported by a number of doctors from all over that it shrinks your junk. I haven't researched that yet, so may not be true.

Don't think there's anyway of stopping it unfortunately everyone one is gonna get it sooner or later you could of already had it, most don't even know.
It's really doing a number on our long term care senior citizens up here in Canada, everyone else seems to be mostly fine.

I can see all this going on.
However, if she thinks Elmhurst is a third world hospital, she should take a ride with me. I'll show her a couple that will challenge her sanity.

I am 72. I have had the flu once, 35 years ago. If I get Covid19 I would be more likely to die due to underlying health issues and my age.. Sooner or later I will be exposed and it is more contagious than the typical flu. It will be harder on me than the flu.
If they come up with a working vaccine, maybe my life expectancy will be longer.
Never figured a virus would do me in.
Thank you China

There is a chance that your T cells will have a memory of that flue. Even though this isn't the flue, it is similar. If a T cell recognizes 4 or 5 amino acids in a group that it knows don't belong in your body, they will go to work. Might be enough to save your ***.
You made it this far. Maybe nothing will do you in.

Cry me a river. lol Give yourself a chance, chances are you're tougher than you think.
Getting the flu only once in 35 years, tells me you have a strong immune system.
I fully expect you to be posting long after the covid is gone.

I believe i had it early in the year, just wanted sleep, could barely watch tv. The biggest thing i was trying to eat super hot spicy chinese food with that hot mustard on it and i could not taste it!

I watched about half of the video[puke]. Fake news and sensationalism mixed in with some truths. Mistakes happen all the time. When doctors and nurses don't even have masks or protective gear, you can expect the virus to spread. And they are overworked. Some of them have died or are too sick to help others.

In southern Texas they are sending Covid patients home to die because the ICU units are overfull. About a 1000 people are dying every day in the U.S. And 1000's more will end up with long term or permanent damage [heart, lung, kidneys]. We may end up quarantining half the country to get the virus under control. And closing the southern border stations.

Someone wrote ''should be murder charges brought up on those in charge''. I don't think there was anything malicious about the President's or the V. President's decisions. They simply listened to the wrong people or didn't give the situation enough thought.

Sure, but HIV is preventable by living a clean life

Covid is not going anywhere. It's an upper respiratory virus on steroids!! Many, many people will get it. The overwhelming majority (greater than 99%) will survive it.

You can wear a mask and gloves but still get it. I'd like to see the media report EVERY SINGLE abortion murder/death the way they report positive Covid tests.

More people were shot in Detroit on Sunday than died in the state of Michigan from covid. Just sayin.
