Hey all. As if the Mopar or classic car hobby wasn't expensive enough, some or even most enjoy another hobby that is either totally different or perhaps compliments or passion for cars.

For me? It's both photography and vintage camera collecting. I buy and sell too, so it is slightly self funding.

I've been collecting cameras only slightly longer than being into cars. Both have taken my money happily though, and here is the better part of my collection :

I have cameras dating from the late 1800s up to the 90s and everything in between. About 70% of what you see is something I still use or can still use as well. I develop my own film, so a lot of them still get use frequently. And the big one in the second picture? Yeah, that's a camera too. A WWII Naval Reconnaissance camera they would strap to aircraft and take pictures of what was below them after a strike. It's almost 4 feet tall standing up like that. It's one of my favorites.

I'm only 23, so while my baby pictures were on film, I didn't grow up with it.

I still own digital equipment and do photoshoots of families and mostly of Mopars and other cars.

I heard @67Dart273 would get kick outta this, and possibly others too! To keep the convo going, I love to see what others also collect or another hobby. Parts collecting is a hobby too lol. I plan on bringing one camera and a few rolls of film to Woodburn, looking forward to it.

Camping and model railroading, but not at the same time. Put the trains away 30 years ago when I moved into my 1st house. I finally have room at this house to build a small town. A lot of B&O related.

That’s a nice collection. I see a F2 in there. I have a couple of those myself. Also have some old large format lenses along with some other odds and end that were my dads. I used to do a lot of B&W stuff at home and in school from a youngster through high school.

I am a long time model railroader. Although I don't have a layout at present, it's coming. I've modeled in HO, N, Fn3 and currently have everything for an On30 layout. I like the narrow gauge because there's more freedom and if you can imagine it, it probably existed.

Dealership Promotional model cars along with other older collectable toys...... plus many other things that come and go, like snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATV's, Food :), etc etc.... I just live a happy life :)

Boating, fishing, guns, dirtbikes, tools, unmentionables (lol), and good coffee....

I do typically spend more than I sometimes should to help someone... Can't explain it but it sure feels good.

My son is a Baseball Player (22.) I love watching him play. Every once in a while we go to the field and I hit him some. Then I have a 11 year old that plays too.

N-Guage trains from the70’s, lots of Mopar model cars, promotional, and a large collection of Mopar memorabilia, and especially anything 66 Barracuda

Around ND and MN, the affliction is fishing and fishing boats. Not for me, but easy to drop $50k on boat then you can spend anothrr $50k for Snowbear self propeled ice fishing vehicle/house.

Older Hi-Fi, especially cassette decks. Must be silver faced, no BPC (black plastic crap) allowed. Although some newer stuff (Dolby S) was superior in every way to the old stuff. The black plastic stuff (or Technics slate) doesn't do anything for me. I've had about 8 of them come and go but these 2 Sony's are my favorite. With my Hitachi SR-904 receiver. All this stuff is vintage 1978 stuff. I also have a pair of 1958 KLH Six speakers I re-coned and restored.

I have several hobbies. None of them "Take My Money".

That being said, I've been an N scaler since the late 60's, still have my baseball cards, love bicycling, running and exercising, in general. Used to play fast pitch softball, too old now (61).

My mom was a musician and photographer. She played violin, cello, alto sax (I still have it.), and clarinet. I had several of her cameras. They're gone now. She developed her own stuff before my sister and I came along. She also played baseball during WWII.

My dad had the railroad blood. His cousin and his father (my great uncle) worked for the Pennsylvania. My Great Uncle Joe ran steam.

Sorry, not all hobby related, but I think hobbies go through the family lines.

But they definitely don't "Take My Money".

I love those silver faced receivers, nothing modern has the same power. I have mine connected to a CD/MP3 reader, see the USB Jack on the front. I dont use CDs anymore, not since middle school, I have never had tapes of any kind so everything is on USB drives now.
This CD unit is cool because it will transfer everything CD to USB in a couple minutes.

something about a tape player....the glow of the incandescent meter bulbs, the tape hiss in the background, the crappy Dolby B that quashed all the highs...grew up with them in cars, making mix tapes and playing them on the road. Every time I go into a thrift store I look for the .10-.50 cent tapes and buck CD's. 3 head decks make duplicates that can sound better than the originals that were not all that good to begin with. Some have some pretty strange transport problems but its all mechanical.
