Dig out the old Direct Connection manual. There a ideas in there that are probably still valid...given that the parts are still available. Talking with Mr.Toth, his recommendation was not to use an intake valve over 2.00" because it could run into water. Compared LA and Poly rocker shaft today, my eye ball micrometer says they look like the same length and diameter but mounting holes in different locations.
