I had a small problem, I wanted too many gauges but didn't have enough 'dash' to put them in. I wanted no heater, no radio, no ash tray (Switches will go in a panel where the ashtray was), just the stripped down car (light weight) a built motor, tranny and rear. Well I have a bored and stroked 416 from a 340, a strong 727 and a narrowed 48" Currie Ford 9" Nodular with 4:11's and a locker.
Back to my dash problem.
1) These are the Gauges I am putting in the "Dash", all Autometer. (The Tach will mount on top the dash)
2) The Stock dash, not near enough room.
3,4) Took the Dremel to two of them.
5) Putting, glue/welding two end to end.
6) Cutting the DASH to fit.
7) How the gauges are going in.
Not finished yet but this will give me what I want.

I will probably glue, weld in a piece on sheet platic to mount the gauges in and for strength and intend to use a 'Wrinkle' finish paint on the dash bezel insert.
I know, I know, I'm not too good at posting pics and such, but I think you get the idea!

Yes, MEK glue and fileings for 'filler'

Don’t forget the power of JB Weld for all those projects!

I would avoid the MEK, if you have any on your hands while working on the dash, you just might end up with fingerprint textures all over the place.

It's gonna look like a 1980s throwback dash. Don't forget the altimeter and barometric pressure gauges.

I have a friend that has a air-speed indicator on his motorcycle, he is a pilot.
Also has a cool bi-plane he fly's everywhere.

I did basically the same thing except I put the vacuum and AFR gauges over on the passenger side. I don't look at them much and can have a friend look at them while I'm going WOT ;)

Certainly a different approach, haven't seen anyone do it before.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

I like the Mustang. Kitty and I were behind one just the other day in Macon. It had "427 StageIII" on the gas cap. Sounded nasty. I had to come home and look it up. It was an 07 427R code Rosch Mustang. lol

Are you going to put a turbohydrofratastat in there too, if you do can you make an extra for me?

@Heywodja
Not in this one, but I could throw one togerther for you. Just forward $2,723.65 to my PayPal for me to start (gift as I do not pay fees), also your card number and security code to charge the remainder to when it is ready to ship. I can begin the welding of the mounting bracket this afternoon as soon as I recieve the initial funding, I'll also get the control electronics for it ordered, it may take a little time to get all the parts, assemble, test and get it shipped to you, maybe by Feb 2021, this covid thing has really slowed down shipping.
Total with shipping should not exceed $6100, if that is beyound your means just let me know, there is a guy over in China that could make one for you for aroung $5300, but by the time Trump adds on the US's Tariff of China crap it would be nearer to what I am asking.
