Well the accumulator has many benefits and the nascar filter is not your run of the mill filter by a long stretch. If you want a good flowing system you need unrestrictive filters. It is not possible to put in an accumulator without some external plumbing. I use a one quart for pre oil, and to help in the shutdown at the end of a run.
