I need to buy one or a set of the older type Heavy
Dome pistons for LA / 340 if anyone has some ( std bore )
I need the ones that were capatible with X heads or factory iron heads .

Are you looking for something like the old TRW slugs?

Bore size needed?
 
I may have a set of standard bore pistons from a 70 model 340. I'll look & see if they are still in my stash.
 
IIRC, they had a dome on them. I took them out of a 69 casting number block, but that was 15 years ago when I built it into a 408 stroker. I hung on to them for some unknown reason. I think I saw them on a shelf about 3 months ago.
 
Chris if your using that short stroke crank I don’t think your going to be able to use out of the box pistons.
