Ok the center bolt holds the float bowl and the other is a drain to empty the bowel. If you gently clamp vise grips onto the fuel line unless it had an in-line shut off. Then have a small container to catch the gas when you take the center bolt out then you can look at the tiny small holes. One goes down the center of the bolt and then there is a hole that runs horizontally. Like I said before get some wire and strip it back an inch or so and twist two strands together and slide it down the center hole. Probably a minuet bit of dirty or some obstruction. It doesn't take much to clog it up or restrict the flow. If you do find dirt in the holes then clean the tank out. Also look inside your gas can and probably find dirt in the bottom. If you do dump it in your car/truck clean out the can and put fresh Premium gas in it.. BTW you did check for spark didn't you?

BTW that's a 5.5 hp engine if you didn't know. You take the CC's and divide by 30 and that gives you the HP rating. The reason they don't post the HP rating is because some smart *** put a B&S engine on a dyno and didn't agree with their numbers and he sued them. Now you know.

thanks, i will get to it tomorrow
yes, i did check for gas

but, i dont think you are thinking of the right carb
the whole thing is made out of plastic, and it has two screws that hold it on

ill post some pics when i get it apart

Just for S and giggles. I ran a ground wire for the spark control module just to make sure it is getting a good ground. I did use bigger screws to secure the module but with all the pint on the firewall This might be the problem for the no start as they have to be grounded. Took it for a drive and started it several times, so far so good but time will tell. If it does it again there might be a Black Cuda going cheap LOL

Wow..never seen a plastic one before. I had the proper carb for your machine but gave it all away when I got out of repairing small engines 5 months ago. I would have mailed it to you. Being plastic I'm wondering if the baseplate might be warped or even cracked and sucking air.

Think this is the problem. Pretty simple fix

That is definitely the carb that's on there
I did not dare muscle the "cartidge" out yesterday, now that I know i can, I will tomorrow

Thanks

By the way...where's that guy from?
He had a rather amoozing accent, I wonder if he's a yupper

Gonna take the scamp on a long road trip this Saturday to Fargo and back it will be a 600 mile trip to make sure it runs out real good and nothing falls off. lol
Gonna see if I can stop and see John and check out his Demon and see my boys also.
Before I put the interior in I want to make sure everything is fastened down good and will recheck every nut, bolt and wire.
Good excuse to get out of the house and have some fun...
