I was having some weird shifter issues with the Hurst promatic. I had an extra throw(ratchet) to get it into drive and when I was in first I had an extra throw to get it in the second. so I've been pulling my hair out trying to get the shifter cable adjusted properly.
I found issue number one.
Apparently I missed tightening the cable bolt.
