So I thought that would fix it for sure. But I still wasn't getting the full throw while in first gear. So, I started digging around some more and I found this. So I used a b&m shifter cable with the Hurst shifter. And the b&m cable has a larger eyelet then the Hurst has pin diameter.
So I fumbled around trying to figure out something I could make a spacer out of. I ended up using a rivnut and turning it into a little spacer
