Congrats on a 12 second pass. Tell me about your car.
.030" over 413 Winnebago engine, flat top (1964) based egge pistons 8.9.1 compression 230°@.050 .480 lift cam, aerohead 452 casting 2.14 intake valves, performer rpm qft 750.
727 Fairbanks with a hughes 2,500 stall converter and a 3.73 suregrip 8 3/4. Whew!

Don't underestimate these engines, they can work but it takes perseverance.

Good for you.
What I heard is that the pistons are the expensive part of the build on these engines.
What C/R are they?

104 mph is making some HP. I have 3.73 gears in the back of my car as well, mine is 3130 without me in it.

What’s the formula, every 10th you pick up in your 60ft is 3/10 at the finish ?

Hey haven’t they shut down your drag strip also this year?

Jet up 2 sizes at a time for MPH, when the mph drops off, go back 2 sizes. Add squirter size for 60 foot, go back 2 sizes when it drops off, or when you see a bunch of black out the back. drop down in air pressure if you are spinning, do you have adjustable shocks to play with? Just work with what you have.

Yes adjustable shocks, but not easy to adjust want to get an easier set with a dial.

It looks like it is leaving ok, the body slowly separates from the back tire, the nose wants to lift but it goes back down fast. So yes adjustable shocks will help. More converter may help it leave too depending where the peak torque is .

I'm only going to do shocks and leave the converter because i drive across the state and don't want excessive heat in the trans. I'm putting different heads on next year and pretty much leave it in the 12s.
