Ford 8.8 shock plates?

When I grabbed a Ford 8.8 from the junkyard I took the shock plates too. They came from an Explorer. Any reason I couldn’t use these in my 65 Valiant?
 
Yeah, I guess it’s angled compared to the original.

3" axle tube. You will have to file the holes out for the wider 8.8 ford U bolts. U bolt nuts may hit the flanges. Try em. Looks like they are $40 per side, and then you have to get the shock studs.
 
I’ve got time to look for another solution. Won’t be ready to stuff this in the car for a little while.
 
What’s the spacing between the mounting holes on that 434 model?
 
Here is the AR434 with added tabs for the Calvert link bar. The hole pattern is designed to work with 3 inch U bolts.
