Burned plug wires.

On my small block I have those headers where that one tube goes right across the head. (See picture, its an older picture the only one i have right now showing that side) I have had a few plug wires burn threw lately mostly on cylinder 5 and one on 7. I had wrapped the header tube with the heat wrap and then put a heat tape around the plug boot with those slide over sleeves as well. That worked for awhile but in a weekend #5 burned threw 2 boots. They all have had straight boots on them so im thinking a 90 degree boot.

I've been looking into other options on heat protection until I can swap out the headers so im wondering what has everyone els done with these headers to save plug wires.

I have the same design tubes and used a section of heat wrap folded over 3 times between the wires and tube.
Been like that for years without one burn through.
