Packaging Tray Installation

Guys, is the packaging tray suppose to be screwed down or does it just lay on top? I ordered one from AEM and it's about 0.25" too long width wise, which means i may have to cut the ends and lose the finish leather trim they added on one end. Any help is appreciated.
 
It tucks under the window gasket and the ends tuck under the quarter trim. Of course it may vary by model but this is typically how they install. It does not screw down but there is a push clip on each end that helps hold it down. If you have rear defrost, the bezel will also help hold it down.

Thank you. Don't have push clips but does tell me what I need to do now.
