Can anyone tell me which way to install the inner tie rod end (drivers side) on a 72 duster?
does it go through the front steering linkage or the rear?

Thanks for your help

sorry had to delete....Ipad was screwing up...

outer tie rod goes towards the rear....inner points up at the pitman arm on a 72 A body

73 A bodies...things changed....

^^Yeah I'm pretty confused^^ Actually other than confusing the alignment folks it doesn't matter inner/ outer they will actually fit either way once the inner/ outer ends and the sleeve is put together LOLOL

Well, someone may have drilled the taper out of the centerlink. Someone did that on the centerlink for my ‘71 GT. They they put this little taper to straight adaptor on the pitman. It was a total shade tree mess. I’m not entirely sure why, but my my guess would be they bought the wrong year pitman arm and decided to “make it fit”. I can see something similar happening with the inner tie rod ends to get header clearance or something.

If they can go in from either direction though the centerlink has been screwed up.
