Finally got my newly build slant back on the road. Running/sounding great! Was running errands for a couple hours in 90 degree heat yesterday. Parked at the market and when I returned the car would not start. A little click when turning the key but that's it. I checked cables and I'm sure the battery is good. I'm running what I'm sure is the original '65 starter so I suspected it was hot and on it's last leg. I went back in the store and bought a bag of ice and a beer. Sat the bag of ice on the starter and enjoyed my beer. After 15 minutes, pulled the bag of ice and vroom! Started right up. Not 100 percent sure that was the issue but I will be buying a new starter today : )
