I finally got off my butt and did some work on the car! I got pass side removed, no sweat. Everything came apart real easy. Even T-bars. Of course it's never been on road with this 73 disc setup. Which I will be offering sometime. This makes me feel much better as I can see things coming together. Will tackle drivers side tomorrow. Got dishes to clean. LOL (someone has to do them, and my dogs refuse except to lick their bowls)!

Installed oil pressure sender and valve cover bolts on the 360 magnum in the 67 Coronet. Also got the correct size converter to flexplate bolts. Started raining so no further progress. (Friday)

Drove it about 105,600 feet this morning (sounds better than 20 miles!) just cruising around town. ...running great!
Gonna be 106 again today so I get my drives in the morning and evenings. ....

Made from T6061 aluminum that I machined into a Battery hold down... For my 65 Cuda.. Better then napping the days away as I have been doing of late...
I think it looks nicer, but will now polish it out a bit more when it cools down here in Arizona!
Stay safe out there my friends...

Cut the cancer out of the right side of my 05 Ram and got the new outer wheel house welded in. Also sized up the patch panel

Looks Good, looks like you used your auto body panel stepping tool to give strength and a lower area to place your new panel.

Warping is always a huge consideration on welding in something that big into the center of an existing panel. Spot weld and cool, spot and cool, jumping around so as to not get too much heat in one area.

Roger that. Did 1/2 quarters on my use to own 69 Fury 20 years ago, and bed sides on my son's 02 Ram a few years ago. Got the inch at a time stitch thing and move all over thing down... lol

That is going to make a nice truck with those box sides fixed up like brand new.

Beats the heck out of paying 40 to 50 grand on a new one.

I gave my car a 910 mile run down to Illinois for the 4th Annual FCBO show. Fell asleep at a friend's shop afterwards, then headed back home so I could work tonight. Felt longer than the thirty hours I was gone.

My car next to it's alter ego.

My daughter and I mounted new tires on the wife’s Challenger.
We drove it all over the place it seems, this was at Five guys for a burger.

I removed the AC assembly temporarily while I get the engine going, and wanted to seal up the connectors at the bulkhead. Duct tape wasn’t good enough, I wanted a cleaner finish. Found some brass caps at the hardware store and I’m really happy with the result.

Now it’s time to decide where I want the tach and temp/oil pressure gauges mounted.

took that whole fuel sending unit apart again
(it was the return nipple that was leaking)

slathered it in permatex 4 , made sure i got it as tight as possible and put it all back together
i wont know untill i fill her back up if it did the trick or not...but if it didnt, im out of ideas

Got a new Hobart Inventor welding helmet. Great time to try it out so I repaired a leak in the passenger side exhaust pipe. Now time to fire it up and take it for a spin!

Ditching weight where I can in the quest for as low an ET and MPH as I can get with the engine I have (before resorting to more drastic measures) while clinging to some semblance of stock appearances and minimalist creature comfort functions. In the process of replacing door glass, regulators etc. and going the old 68 Super Stock route with seatbelt webbing and snaps for raising/lowering the side plexiglass. Using Optix Green Edge (.177” thick) as when finished it looks just like tempered glass (and more rigid than .125” poly/plexi) but still with a reduction of slightly more than half the weight. Bent up some .063” aluminum for improvised window clips and sourced some bulk 2” seat belt material. Just waiting on some belt line and channel weatherstripping to arrive then reassemble. This phase (along with other minor mods) will yield about a 30lb weight reduction, with more planned. :)
