Custom low profile oil pan sump? Anyone made their own?

The way an old friend used to do it was with the headers installed. You need to be able to cut sheet metal and grind it smooth or round it off. Make your templates from cardboard. Tack weld the cut plates on. Then remove the oil pan. He would get the new added on pan back off and then start cutting the old pan.

Adding to the front of the oil pan is the hardest. (Windage concerns) If your building a serious pan, cutting the K frame and then Re welding it is a lot of work.

Adding baffles is easy in the basic sense. Fitting them into the pan isn’t to hard BUT installing the pan with the new baffles can be a PIA.
