I remember in around 2002 the hard rock station I was listening to, Q107 in Toronto announced that Gordon Lightfoot was in hospital and in “grave condition” and that it wasn’t likely he would survive.

Here we are 18 years later and he’s still putting on a mesmerizing performance.

When the radio station at the cottage plays one of his songs, you can hear every camp fire on the lake singing along.
