Hi I've searched online everywhere for some billet adapters to go from SBP to LBP No luck anywhere? Anybody know a supplier for this size? Thanks (frustrated) :BangHead::BangHead:

The ebay seller said does not work with disc brakes? have you heard that before? Anybody?

His list says it does not fit disc brakes on later model (post '72) A bodies- which makes sense since those are already 4.5" bolt circle; drum brakes in those years were still 4".
If you need 4, order 2 sets. Or look at other vendors that sell in sets of 4. Lots of them out there, these weren't the only ones. Just used them as an example.

I have not heard that before with regard to the billet wheel adapters. But, there are differences in the wheel studs. The whole “floating rotor” thing could also be an issue, as well as clearance to the caliper.

You’ll have to ask the seller specifically why they say that about those spacers though, as I’ve used billet spacers on disk brakes in the past and that’s a new one for me.

That’s a silly way to say that if that’s what it is. They fit 5x4”, not fitting the 73+ disks has nothing to do with the fact that they’re disks. Just the wrong bolt pattern.

Yeah, agreed. His "fit" list kinda skirts around that.

yes ive heard those compatibility lists on ebay are not that accurate just a reference very vague

What should the torque be of the 7/16 lug nuts to hub on adapter? Thanks ( 1 inch billet adapters)

Brake drums have balancing weights welded on them that sometimes interfere, hold the adapter away from mounting flat/proper. Notch in the adapter may be required.
The lug studs on the adapters are 1/2 inch, larger nut, different lug wrench and spare in the trunk just in case you have a flat tire.

When mounting adapters to car would you recommend thread locker on the studs? THANKS

I haven’t used thread locker on wheel adaptors. Just make sure both sets of lug nuts are torqued properly and you check them a few times after the initial install. No different that aluminum wheels, you’re supposed to check the torque on the lugs at regular intervals.

Careful of who you order through.....the vendor link above has HORRIBLE feedback regarding non-shipment of items, etc.

I have a 65 Dart that I am mounting 225/40R18 that has a 5*112 BP. Needless to say I've been searching for REPUTABLE adapter companies and I've already had to return some adapters that actually came from a company that does adapters.....be very specific with the company you're looking at using and make sure you double check the CenterBore sizes which is where a lot of problems lay in wait.....the wheels side of the Dart are still a month or so away from being added to the car so I still have a bit of time to do the research, but yeah......here is an example of "NEW" adapters from a company in San Bernardino.....didn't keep em of course...just be on the lookout and DO NOT MOUNT used gear.....

Those look good. I hope you don't have wheel well lip rubbing problems on the front.

You won't if you get some wheels with 1" more backspacing than what would normally fit on the car. You need somewhere around 5" BS on a 7" wheel, for example. You are looking at, for the most part, front wheel drive designs like the white ones shown above.

What is the lenght of original studs? Has the wheel adaptor to be thicker than 30mm to prevent the stud to protude from the top of the adapter?
