Alignment shop - chain store or Mom & Pop?

-
I'm having a local shop align my Dart next Saturday. They've been in business since the 70's and the guy running it owns a Barracuda with a 408 in it. @VOETOM

I rebuilt the front end recently during an engine rebuild, and once the engine is running I'm going to need to take the car in for an alignment (obviously). There's a shop nearby that's a chain, which I take my Tacoma to for tires and alignments, and they do good work. This is my first older car that I've needed an alignment on, so my question is do you guys trust chain or franchise shops to do your alignments? How much different is it to do an alignment on an older car, versus modern vehicles? Is it simpler, or will these guys be scratching their heads trying to figure it out?

Before everyone immediately jumps in and says I should always support the locally owned shops, I always try to. I don't think there's a locally owned shop nearby that does alignments, and I don't want to drive 25 miles on the interstate on a fresh front end. That's the only reason I'm considering the chain that's a 5 minute drive away.
Trailer it..

Which alignment spec did you go with? Will it keep front tires from faster wear?
Mine is set up for the drag race setting on the bottom. My car is more of a in line speed set up...
No, I don't think it's set up for ultimate wear situation especially in cornering. But they're only $130 for a set of cheap Walmart front tires... I've had it this way for a year-and-a-half and I haven't seen any significant odd wearing of my front tires though....
I think if someone was worried about tire wear they would be looking at the very first alignment shown on the chart, granny....

We are lucky to have K&S Wheel Alignment. Chuck loads up his portable equipment and aligns Indy cars. They are a top notch shop and always have Street rods and police cars in the lot. They know how to align without service manual specs.

I read the 'Turn of the screw' articleand have printed out the 'skosh' chart.
I have a good alignment tech who has done my '37 Pontiac with original '74 MII front clip.
My Pontiac has quick steering2.5 turns lock to lock, and is similar in reastion to my'15 F150.
In comparison this Valiant feels like I'n turning a ships wheel!
Now I'm not looking for auto-x response but I owuld like it a bit tighter as a driver/cruiser.
Someone added the KH disc setup with what appears to be stock components.
Which setting on the 'skosh' chart would you recommend, given the limitations of the stock arms?

With factory front end parts you will probably wind up getting 1/2 deg negative camber and settling for the maximum caster that is left available.
