I tend to think that you are right, someone added the second set of holes. I wonder how long Chrysler kept stock on the 442? I bought my NOS set at a dealer in 75 and we had a 67 Barracuda at the time so I guess I told them I needed the 67 emblems. But like I said I never knew there was a different part number for the 65's.
