I took the drivers side duct completly out and sold it here on fabo . Made a block off plate to seal the hole after re cleaning the cowl out , made room for the new fuse box-------------dont miss that dirt blowing in my face a bit !!
I would HATE not having at least one cowl vent, and dislike "this new stuff" with it integrated into the heater. It never gets "cold" as the outside as the heating ducts pick up engine heat, etc
I’ll definitely be keeping the Passenger vent. No reason to remove it, even with a new integrated A/C unit I’ll be installing. Nice insurance policy if I get new A/C and it ever breaks .
But the driver’s side one is only mostly attached at this point and the door broke off (PO tried to open it when it was seized. Was barely hanging on when i got it).
The dirt blowing was bad. Just the other day the passenger side decided to blow a bunch of dirt and leaves all over my interior and a freshly dry cleaned sport coat
