Anybody know where a guy can buy a VDO PM337 heater blower motor for an A-body? It seems to be the only one that was built with the wire leads coming out of the case on the shaft end and is not available anywhere that I can find. Or is there another replacement that I am missing? The heater box is from a 67 Dart non a/c.

Autozone lists a 4 seasons 35502 which appears to have the wires coming out the side. The VDO PM337 appears to be obsolete

Already bought one of those. The wire leads would come out in the engine bay. It also has the 7/8" or so hole that would be used on a B-body for the little rubber elbow. With the amount of A-bodies out there, I just can't believe a manufacturer would quit building the correct one, but that seems to be the case.

Is it bolted or riveted? Maybe you can "mod" it?

Are you sure you have the right one? That sounds like the blower motor for an ac car. Sometimes they get the listings wrong.

This is in my 70 Duster which originally was an ac car. I converted the firewall with a patch from a non ac car and used a non ac heater box from a 67 Dart. I am positive that the non ac cars all had the wiring in the cockpit whereas an ac car would have had the wire connections in the engine bay. I did some searches on here before posting and it looks like I am not the only one not being able to find the correct motor. Am just hoping someone has found a remedy....
