Been talking to a number of my contacts at CPW and they're seeing a hell of a lot more Colorado resident licenses being bought this year and less non-resident licenses. That being said - I'm expecting A LOT of inexperienced hunters out there applying a ridiculous amount of pressure on public land elk, deer & birds...
I hunt all big game via archery on public lands and all upland birds in Colorado on public lands as well. Excited to hear the increased interest in hunting, but I'm worried about what I'll see when I'm out there.
I've been scouting for bulls every weekend since early July and have a few 5x6 & 6x6 bulls' patterns figured out. Hope they don't change on September 1st like they always seem to lol. Gotta put in the work and be willing to push harder to be successful!
