Is it hard to crap with that massive stick rammed up your bunghole? Maybe it's the amount of anal retention that makes it so difficult to get down off your high horse?
I love the '71-74 B-body non-console shifter I've got on the T56 magnum in my '74 slant-6 Duster turned '71 340 Demon clone. And if that makes your puke, well, better hang on to that bucket because I don't care. The console isn't factory either, the slant had a column shifted auto. And obviously the tuff wheel and the rallye gauges were added as well.
