Hi everyone
Working on the 65 barracuda and the 273 hi po and I would like to go to a 600 Holley. The carb that is on it is not in great shape. Looks like an adapter plate Any suggestions welcome Thanks Frank

If you are not doing any other modifications, buy a carb kit rebuild what you have and make it work.

Will try again
On th 65 barracuda I am restoring the carb is really in bad shape. I have a brand new Holley 600 in the garage and would like to us that on the 273 hipo manifold but nothing lines up. I do have an edelbrock small block manifold also but not sure if that will Fit the 273. I am not sure about an adapter plate or not. Any help would be appreciated Thanx Frank

The mounting holes on the early 273 (64-67) heads are at a different angle then later model heads so your intake won't line up. I think you can drill out the holes to make it fit. The carb studs are different then a standard Holley, but AFB or Edelbrock will have a dual bolt pattern and will fit fine.
