STOLEN 66 DART HARDTOP

-
F yeah, a great ending! My 57 Fairlane 500 was 'stolen' and I reported it sunday morning missing. Back then, they gave a **** and took the report. So I took to the old bike and started to ride around the neighborhood to just calm my nerves and an hour later I ride right up on it! It was sitting in the middle of an empty parking lot, parked straight in a space and the doors were still locked...WTF? So I'm trying to process this and I realize I was at a bar in the same strip mall the...night...before.....Ooops! Turns out I walked home after many too many and totally forgot I left the car there. Called the cops and told them I found it out of gas a mile away. Rough night......happy ending.

There was a story about a classic Challenger truck chained to a tree by Dad to keep his meth head son from selling it. Maybe invest in a chain!

Great news!! It's awesome that you got her back.

Not sure I want to know how you know all the local scumbags! :D. I won't get on your bad side, lol.

Congrats on getting her back!

Update:

******* FOUND IT.

I put the word out with the local scumbags that i was "displeased" with my car going missing, and that if i found out who had it we were going to have a "discussion" about it. (I live on a remote10 acres plot in the woods, and own a backhoe) Short story long, earlier today one of theese local scumbags came to the house (he stood about 150' down the driveway) and relayed that he had been sent by another scumbag to let me know that the car would be re-appearing up the road in a couple hours later today, and that nobody wanted any part of the "discussions". Sure as ****, 2 hours later i went up the road and right where it had been stated it would be, there she was. They even washed it for me. Hah. So i linked up with the CHP, went and got my pops to help recover it, hooked it up the the jeep and towed her home.
Shes more or less in the same shape she was, minus a few tools and parts... but all in all im very relieved and just happy to have MY car back.

Thanks guys.
Very relieved to hear man. I saw your post on Reddit so having some closure living not too far from you is great news. Now you gotta get us some more pics!

Man I hate to be negative but these cars end up overseas. Hope you find it and retrieve it. I just don't think Police give a rats *** enough to go search for it. if they find it it will be by dumb luck.

I'm covered then since mine will never be done :)
i figure young kids wont take it because its a 4 speed. do any of them drive manual? I taught my son stick in my fox body, he drove around the high school parking lot then said "its a pain in the ***' and that was it :) He drives a Volvo ;)

Not to sidetrack the thread, but speaking of Volvo....

The other day I was out in my Barracuda on a 4 lane road leaving town when a newer mustang came up beside me and revved his engine. We took off but I backed down at 85 since Georgia has a super speeder law.

So then I see a Volvo (,one of the square ones) pass me, get beside the mustang and they take off. The Volvo took off leaving the mustang in his dust!!

A guy in a pickup was a now beside me and we both cracked up laughing,!!!

Mustang is similar to Rodney Dangerfield they just can't get no respect!!
