I always broke them on the starting line , got to be every other week end , went to dana 60 , end of problem !

As you know and depending on what broke, a 489 case is stronger but you might need to get a Dana or a 9" if you're serious.Yes. It’s all braced. Narrowed. Disc brakes caltrac.

I think what he was getting at is when the rear let loose it can over run the sprag? Not sure if that’s the correct problem that happens but anyway you should take the trans apart and check the sprag.(even if you already have a bolt in sprag?) I’ll let the pros chime in.
Not a good way to start the day. I am in Escalon and it is 109 and on the way down,stay cool and safe.
