I like the o ring idea ever since Harley went to them on the twin cam to replace the troublesome (leaky) cylinder base gaskets on Evo and earlier motors. As long as you don't nick them during install and as long as they're not Morton-Thiokol (if you know your Space shuttle history) o rings.
