383 Combo evaluation lets call it

Low 12’s are a piece of cake...... but, the cam and converter really need to be on the same page.
And....... it might require more cam than you really “want”.

For 95% street use....... cam it for that, then get a converter that’s a good match for the cam....... then it just runs what it runs.

You can really ruin a nice street combo by chasing ET.

Good heads and adequate compression will obviously help.

383’s with stock pistons don’t have tons of v/p clearance....... which will limit how big the cam can be without needing to be cut for valve reliefs.
