thanks. I was fortunate enough that I’m changing pans during a rebuild, so it’s quite easy for me to plunk an empty block with pan in and out of the car. I think some guys are in a rush or don’t have the time to be putting the engine in the car multiple times to get it just right so at some point the hammer does the clearancing.
