Hi guys, I am having issues with my airshocks slightly rubbing my gas tank on my 73 scamp. I just installed a 8 3/4 rear and read on a post about mopar having special upper shock bolts with spacers on to accomodate airshocks. Any of you know where to find a pair or aftermarket shock bolts that anyone used to remedy this problem?

I seem to remember getting a set of these with my air shocks. I never needed them on a 66 Barracuda and I'd never be able to put my finger on them now.
Are you running shackle extensions?
I've always felt that the body moved more with them. I'm not familiar with the shock mounts for a Scamp, but you may be able to shift the shock a bit replacing the "cone shaped grommet washers" with flat ones.
Is the 8-3/4 the exact one for your Scamp's year?

Any way, if you got them on...you probably aren't looking for much movement, perhaps shimming out with washers on the opposite end might get you a bit

I've installed several sets of these, and never had to use special shock bolts. Are you putting the thick spacer washer on the top bolt first, then the shock, then the thin washer? maybe your gas tank has moved a bit?

I had the shocks on with the 7 1/4 rear and had the same issue. Thought about adding another washer or two on the inside to give more clearance. I tried messaging oldmanmopar but had no response as of yet. Do you think 1/8 - 3/16 of clearance from the seam edge is sufficient?

My hi-jackers in my 65 would hit the stops when the rear rebounded over a speed bump or over railroad tracks. Sounded awful inside, like a bass drum. would these work?

Thanks for the help. I ended up going through my " leftover Parts containers" from over the years and low and behold l found the spacers and inverted bolts that came with the shocks. I have to admit l didn't know what they were for. Thanks again you guys are awesome!
