Yes, it's true. An infiltrator from the B body world has penetrated the FABO site. And sadly it's me, so I'm outing myself here. I am a card carrying member of FABO (see Bob's 1974 Space Duster), but I can only look at so many Darts and Valiants before I need a palate cleanser, so here it is. My other Mopar ride is a 1969 Dodge Charger RT/SE, and just to prove I'm legit I parked it next to the Duster on my driveway. So here are the details for your viewing pleasure. This is a real (not a clone) 1969 Charger RT/SE with a non-numbers matching (but correct E series HP) 440 engine, mated to a non numbers matching (but correct A-727-B series) console shifted Torqueflite auto tranny feeding a 3.23 Sure Grip axle. Options include power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, the AM/8 Track radio with three speaker dash and a rear speaker, a rear defogger, three speed wipers, head restraints, the Toc-Toc Tach, cruise control, tinted glass all around, and air conditioning. The car was a full rotisserie resto done in 1995. I kept it as original as possible, but changed the paint color to Q4 Light Metallic Turquoise. The wheels are American Racing Torque Thrusts. The a/c system has been modified with a Sanden rotary compressor running R-134a, but is otherwise completely stock. The floor shifter features a Duncan Engineering Shift-R-Arm replacing the stock auto console shifter. The wood grips on the shifter are actual walnut grips that a gunsmith made for me. I just couldn't stand looking at the stock fake walnut plastic grips. Please feel free to enjoy the photos and comment as you please. Sweet duster. More pics and info on the duster. 74 is my absolute favorite year for dusters. I have one that I wish would be as nice but for now it's my dirt car lol
 
Beautiful Charger! The best body style to ever come out of Detroit.
I wish I still had the '70 my 'ex' and I had years ago.

Thanks, 63GT. Here's a little known fact for you second generation (68-70) Charger fans: Look carefully at the sheet metal surrounding the front and rear wheels. The body bulges out in all three axes there - forward to aft, up to down, and left to right. This bulging was to create a sense of power associated with the wheels. Extraordinary. I could have lived ten lifetimes and never come up with a styling idea like that. I simply cannot understand how some people can pull ideas like that out of thin air.

Beautiful Charger. Torque Thrusts look good on everything. My son and I are working on 64 Dart GT, that has been a long term project.
He has gotten Torque Thrusts for it as well. Glad to see you kept it stock looking. I personally don't like 20" wheels and low profile tires on
a 60's car. The Duster is a nice car as well.
 
Shame on you for not posting those pictures sooner. BEAUTIFUL Charger. I bought a new 69 Barracuda FB 340 Formula S 4 speed in 1969. It was F8 Dark Metallic Green. I sold it a few years later. I regretted that for 20 years, then in 1992 I found a 69 Barracuda FB while I was still in the Air Fore in Arkansas. It was that turquoise color. I painted it F8 Dark Metallic Green like my old one, But I really wish I had painted it turquoise now.

Yeah, I know how you feel about the color selection issue. My Charger was originally F3 Light Metallic Green with a dark green vinyl roof and green interior. When we had it all apart and sandblasted down to bare metal, I had to make the following choice: Do I restore the car I have, or do I restore the car I always wanted had I been able to order it in October of 1968 when it was built? (I was 12 at the time). Since I knew that I'd have to look at it for the rest of my life out in the garage, I went with the color scheme I always wanted : Turquoise and white. Never ever once regretted this decision, and many others have commented on how much they like it. Q4 was an available Dodge color in 1969, but it had to be special ordered to come on a Charger. This would be a "999" paint code on the fender tag. But yeah, the entire exterior and interior color scheme, including he white vinyl roof and transverse tape stripe ("Bumblebee stripe") are stock. Not original, but stock.

Welcome to the... wonderful world of FABO... love the charger, good color. I see you said you only get to look at the car in your garage, if in your lifetime you want to see it somewhere else I'll come and drive it for you. I'll even take pictures and then send them to you so you can vicariously look at your car in other areas through me driving it. :thumbsup:

One day if I'm lucky, my pocket book will fatten up and ill be able to venture over to the FABO place you speak of.... the coronet has me all hot and bothered lately.
