I know the carburetor I got for my buddy had sat on his shelf for untold amount of years and I think I just popped the top off and sprayed it out with some carb cleaner witch really didn't do nothing cuz it was pretty clean inside and I think I took just like a drop of transmission fluid just a film and rubbed it around the rubber on the accelerator pump and it ran great...
