I had a few 2x8s and I laid two side by side on the floor as wide as the casters on a moving dolly. We put a loop of chain across the intake, invited a few strong friends, put a 2" pipe through the chain. Then we lifted the engine onto the dolly and rolled it the length of the 2x8s, keeping it balanced. Put two more 2x8s at the end and rolled again. Moved the back ones forward until we reached the back door. The three steps out the back door required a brut strength effort by two of us on each end of the pipe. Then back to using the moving cart down the sidewalk until we reached the engine hoist on the driveway. No damage, no hernias!
