I've seen ONE.

Not sure if it was a factory one-off or home made.

I believe it was that same color.

Was on ebay about 15 years ago.

Wow, I've seen some research info on a Convertible Barracuda but have never figured they actually made one.

Have any more pics and info on this?

Never seen one of those before, whats the tag say, top option? 65'

I would have to see a picture of the top down or back, off, ?
Or is just the vinyl trim with ribs under it that makes it look like a convertible.
First for me.

Sorry about the double pic. I saw, (found this) on the "Barracuda Club" web site. My dad's 64 was the same color and my 65 (that I had at the same time) was gold also.

Looks like a vert windshield frame for sure, wonder how it opens ?
Just slides back ?

There was a one-off landau top Barracuda built by a factory employee. This seems to be it. Here are some pix and documentation

Pretty sure the top just removes and is stowed in the trunk.

hmm it's got the outer stainless trim from a convertible so it might be a targa style top with the front latches of the convertible and pins into the rear section. but I'd worry about the flex in the body with the top off.
Subframe connectors will fix that right up.

A 65 barracuda notchback. I wonder if that could be done as a 1 of none. How would you make the rear glass.

ditch the rear glass while the top is down! Of course, where you gonna put it?

Lol... I sold those new. Had a chassis like cooked fettucini ! I once had a woman on a test drive ask me "did the body just move?" after we crossed some railroad tracks ! Lmao

Imagine how much horsepower you would need to move that with the top off. That rear glass is going to act like a parachute.

Had it been done as a notch back (post 14, 3rd picture) the glass could have been motorized to drop down. Sort of like how the corvette has the drop down rear window.
Now that would be slick!
