I was just gettin' interested in his music about the time he died. Would have been, and is, one of the greats
 
I saw him at Red Rocks amphitheatre in September of '89. BBKing opened for him. That was a great show.
The day if the show I heard the was going to be at at Rocky Mountain records and tapes earlier in the day signing autographs.
I grabbed my Stratocaster and headed down there. I still have it tucked away in the closet.
 
Great voice too. Probably my favorite by him..
 
I remember hearing the sad news on the radio.:(


And then there is this performance at the old El Mocambo in Toronto, Ontario TONS of top level talent have played there.
