However, the "complete" vin is rarely seen and there must have been a reinterpretation of that law because usually it's only the last 8 of the vin on the block as I indicated in post #11. I've never personally been in the presence of an unstamped block but have read over the last 50 years about them being warranty blocks, but I'm sure on that rare occasion someone fell asleep at Chrysler and let one slip by in a car.
